Ambassador Alejandro Poffo undertook a working visit to the city of Brașov, during which he was received by the Mayor, Mr. George Scripcaru. On this occasion, discussions were held regarding Argentina’s commercial and cultural ties with Brașov, as well as the opportunities to further expand such relations.

At the invitation of Ms. Doina Enache and the Argentine tango school “Tango Brașov by Studio Tango Nada Mas,” the visit included participation in the opening of the 16th edition of the Transylvania Tango Fest/Marathon, which took place in Brașov from July 31 to August 4 and brought together tango enthusiasts from 25 countries.

During his stay in Brașov, the Ambassador also held meetings with the President of the Brașov Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Silviu Costea, the Rector of Transilvania University, Mr. Ioan Vasile Abrudan, and professors from this important institution, as well as with representatives of the restaurant and wine distributor Ma Cocotte, which features several high-quality Argentine wines in its portfolio.

We express our sincere gratitude to the authorities of Brașov, especially to the Mayor, as well as to the representatives of the city’s commercial, educational, and cultural sectors for the exchanges held, which made it possible to take full advantage of this visit to the vibrant city of Brașov and to identify new opportunities for reciprocal collaboration.
