“WHY DOES LATIN AMERICA MATTER FOR ROMANIA?” Conference

The conference "WHY DOES LATIN AMERICA MATTER FOR ROMANIA?" organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Romanian Diplomatic Institute in cooperation with the GRULAC embassies took place on 23 May. The event was opened by the Secretary of State for Global Affairs and Diplomatic Strategies, Traian Hristea, the Dean of Ambassadors for Latin America and the Caribbean, Déborah Leticia Ojeda Valedón and the President of the Romanian Agency for Investment and Trade, Rareș Burlacu. The event was also attended by Liliana Popescu-Bîrlan, Director General of the Romanian Diplomatic Institute, as moderator and Charles Powell, Director of the Elcano Royal Institute; Răzvan Pîrcălăbescu, Chief of Staff to the Minister, Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism (MEAT); Monica Joița, Diplomatic Archives Unit (MAE) and Ioana Dodi, National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA), as speakers.
