On October 5, 2023, the Argentine tenor, conductor and composer José Cura participated in the opening of the 2023-2024 season of the George Enescu Philharmonic, at the Romanian Athenaeum.
The Maestro appeared as conductor, together with the Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra, presenting his own works „Offertorium” and „Sanctus” from „Requiem Aeternam”, the Concerto No. 1 in E minor for piano and orchestra by Frédéric Chopin and the Symphonic Suite "Scheherazade" op. 35, signed by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
The artistic representation filled the room, where the Minister of Culture, Raluca Turcan, and local authorities were also present.
