At the age of 60, he wants to write his memoirs with the help of Manuel Cueto, his young assistant. Thus, we find out that Joaquin Gonez is the son of two musicians, having a very close relationship with his mother, Roma, who he divinizes, and after his father’s death, both of them go through dramatic moments. Soon, Cuerto realizes that his job is more complicated than he initially thought because Gonez suffers a blockage and he has a total lack of inspiration. This means that his assistant will also have to do the work of the writer.
